Twenty One Pilots' "Trench" is their fifth studio album, released on October 5, 2018. It was the band's first studio album in three years, after the immense success of their previous album, "Blurryface". "Trench" is a concept album that explores themes of mental health, suicide, and doubt, all set within the metaphorical city of Dema and the surrounding valley known as "Trench".
"Trench" was a commercial success, debuting at number two on the Billboard 200 chart and selling over 500,000 copies in its first week of release. The album has been certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The album was also critically acclaimed, winning the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
