Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai (Music From the Motion Picture) is a soundtrack album by American rapper and producer RZA, released on April 11, 1999, by JVC Records. It is the first of RZA's fully scored film works, and features a mix of hip hop and original score music, all composed by RZA.
The soundtrack also features vocal tracks from Wu-Tang Clan, Killah Priest, and Public Enemy, but some of these tracks do not appear in the film. There are also many songs that can be heard in the film that appear on neither soundtrack album.
The album was released in two versions: one international version and one Japan-exclusive version.
The soundtrack was praised by critics for its diversity, originality, and quality. It is considered to be one of the best hip hop soundtracks of all time.
